For many people, choosing a toilet feels like a decision that shouldn’t take up too much time or brainpower. But as a place where we spend plenty of time, and which inevitably forms a focal point of the bathroom, your choice of loo is perhaps more important than you realise.

Founded in South Australia in 2003 by a pair of engineering brothers, Seima is a brand that takes its toilets seriously. A company with a history of innovation, in 2015 it introduced the Clean Flush™ system, Australia’s first rimless toilet.

With a range that spans all toilet types, designs and configurations, Seima builds quality, long-lasting commodes that look beautiful and require minimal cleaning and maintenance.

How to choose the right Seima toilet

Before you settle on a style, it's worth thinking carefully about configuration, pan height and inlet compatibility – decisions that affect how the toilet looks, feels and fits in your space.

Configuration: This decision affects installation and aesthetics more than any other. Close-coupled suites, where the cistern sits directly on the rear of the pan, are the most straightforward to install, and are perfect for renos where you’ll use existing plumbing. Wall-faced options offer a cleaner look by placing the whole suite flush against the wall, while in-wall suites, where the cistern is completely hidden behind the bathroom wall, offer the cleanest look of the lot, but are also by far the most difficult to install.

Pan height: Seima's Easy Care Height options have pans that are 420-440mm tall, slightly higher than the 360-400mm of standard suites. These are worth considering for taller families, childless households and people with mobility issues who find getting up and down difficult.

Inlet compatibility: This consideration is particularly relevant for renovations. Seima's suites typically support both back and bottom entry plumbing, so you won’t need to worry about incompatibility – though you do still need to choose the right option when it comes time to order your suite.

Key differences to consider

More than ‘just a toilet’, you’ll discover a surprising amount of variety when you shop for a loo, so let’s review a few of the different options.

Traditional close-coupled toilets aren’t the cleanest or most stylish option, but they’re cheap and easy to install. In-wall suites are the cleanest and most stylish choice, but they’re difficult and expensive to install. For many people the sweet spot for aesthetics, cost and convenience is found in a wall-faced toilet, which offers a minimalist look while still being relatively cost-effective and easy to install.

If you choose an in-wall system, consider going the whole hog and choosing a wall-hung pan too. This is where the pan mounts directly to the wall, with no floor contact, which can make the bathroom more spacious and easier to clean.

Seima also offers a few unique features for customers to choose from. Nanoglaze ceramic will reduce your reliance on the brush, while each of the company's four different seat designs – Classic, Flat, Slim and Deluxe – offer a different look and feel.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Our standard delivery times once your order has been despatched:

Metro Bris, Syd, Mel 2–5 business days
Regional 5–10 business days
Rural 7-14 business days

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link so you can follow your order’s progress.

Can I collect my order?

Absolutely! Select 'pickup' during checkout. All collections are from our store in Underwood Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.45pm.

We are unable to accommodate weekend pickups as our warehouse is closed.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery or pickup, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging, and in saleable condition.

We are unable to accept returns for installed (or attempted install), incl modified items.

Are there any products I cannot return?

The following items are not eligible for returns:

- Tops with drilling/cutting
- Shower Screen Glass
- Special Order items
- Floor Wastes
- Clearance items

Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel your order within 5 business days of order placement. However the following products can only be cancelled within 24 hours of order placement:
- Made to Order (Australian made) Vanities
- Tops with drilling/cutting
- Special Order items
The following products cannot be cancelled:
